This talk will discuss a collaborative project to improve understanding of the spatiotemporal dynamics for how research scientists are involved in scientific development and knowledge creation. A data-driven approach to examine the interrelations between first authors and their co-authors of publications from leading academic journals may inform latent patterns of how knowledge networks develop throughout space and over time.
