Description 詳情

LIVING THE SOCIALIST MODERN: The Chinese Communist Party at 100—Global and Interdisciplinary Perspectives [Session 2]
This lecture explores the transcultural experiences and political influence of two important, early Chinese CCP leaders: Cai Hesen (1895–1931) and Zhao Shiyan (1901–1927). Both Cai and Zhao were critical to the early ideological development of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the spread of mass politics. The lecture will utilize the life cycle paradigm and attributes in Plutarch’s Lives of the Greeks and Romans, to explore the historical significance of these two Chinese Communist revolutionaries.
