Part of the East Asia by the Book! CEAS Author Talks series, this event features Johns Hopkins University Professor, Joel Andreas, and his book, "Disenfranchised: The Rise and Fall of Industrial Citizenship in China," which recounts the tumultuous events that have shaped and reshaped authority relations in Chinese factories over the past seven decades and offers unique access to a variety of accounts at the shop floor level through interviews with workers and managers. This program also features Boston University's Jake Werner as Discussant.
