- Description 詳情
Given recent news that China's birthrate has hit a historic low, the Chinese Communist Party has redoubled its efforts to encourage families to have more children. Urban, well-educated women have been pushing back against these demands. In this webinar, we'll hear from a historian and a demographer on why this population crisis has emerged, why urban women are increasingly putting off marriage and pregnancy, and what we can learn by putting these trends in historical and global context.
